New Year's Eve is often associated with celebrations, festive meals and alcoholic beverages. However, it's important to maintain a balance to avoid excess and preserve your health. Here are a few tips for enjoying New Year's Eve while taking care of your well-being :

    1. Hydration : Drink water regularly throughout the evening to stay hydrated. Alternate between water and alcoholic beverages if you choose to consume alcohol.

    2. Moderation with alcohol : If you choose to drink alcohol, do so in moderation. Excess alcohol can have adverse health effects, including headaches, nausea and hangovers.

    3. Balanced diet : Eat a balanced diet, even during festive meals. Eat vegetables, lean proteins and high-fiber foods to avoid over-focusing on sugary and fatty snacks.

    4. Reasonable portions : Control portion sizes and don't force yourself to eat more than you need. Listen to your appetite and stop when you're full.

    5. Physical activity : Try to stay active during the day to compensate for potential excesses. A walk in the fresh air or a light exercise session can help you feel better.

    6. Avoid drinking and driving : If you've been drinking, don't get behind the wheel. Opt for a designated driver, cab or car-sharing service to get home safely.

    7. Stress management : The festive season can be stressful for some people. Take the time to relax, meditate or practice stress management techniques to feel more serene.

    8. Getenough sleep : Make sure you get plenty of sleep the night before New Year's Eve and recover sufficiently after the celebrations. Sleep is essential for mental and physical health.

    9. Detox plan : If you're having a hard day after the party, make sure you have easy-to-digest foods, water and electrolytes on hand to help you recover.

    10. Listen to your body : If you feel unwell at any time, don't force yourself. Listen to your body and rest if necessary.

The key to avoiding overindulgence on New Year's Eve is to strike a balance between celebrating and preserving your health. Enjoy the festivities, but do so responsibly to get the New Year off to a good start.

Grilled Salmon with Dill and Vegetable Quinoa

For a healthy and delicious New Year, here's a light recipe idea : Grilled Salmon with Dill and Vegetable Quinoa.

    Ingredients :

    For the salmon :

    • 4 salmon fillets (approx. 150 g each)
    • Juice of 1 lemon
    • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill
    • Salt and pepper to taste

    For the vegetable quinoa :

    • 1 cup quinoa
    • 2 cups water or vegetable broth
    • 1 red bell pepper, diced
    • 1 cucumber, diced
    • 1/2 red onion, chopped
    • Juice of 1 lemon
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • Salt and pepper to taste

    Instructions :

    1. Start by cooking the quinoa. Rinse the quinoa under cold water, then add it to a saucepan with the water or stock. Bring to the boil, reduce the heat, cover and simmer for about 15 minutes, or until the quinoa is cooked and all the liquid has been absorbed. Leave to cool.

    2. Prepare the marinade for the salmon by combining the lemon juice, dill, salt and pepper in a bowl. Brush the salmon fillets with the marinade and leave to rest for a few minutes.

    3. Preheat a grill or non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Grill the salmon fillets for about 3-4 minutes on each side, until cooked.

    4. While the salmon is grilling, prepare the vegetable quinoa salad. In a large bowl, combine the cooked quinoa, diced red bell pepper, cucumber and red onion. Add the lemon juice, olive oil, salt and pepper, and mix well.

    5. Serve the grilled salmon on a bed of vegetable quinoa. You can add a touch of fresh dill on top for decoration.

This dish is healthy, balanced and full of flavor. It combines the goodness of omega-3-rich salmon with the protein of quinoa and the freshness of vegetables. It's a great option for a light, nutritious New Year's meal. You can also accompany it with a green salad or roasted vegetables.

Bon appétit and enjoy a healthy New Year's celebration!
